Browsing the site
You can read every public page without an account. We set no tracking or advertising cookies and run no analytics scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and to keep the site up. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots; it may set a cookie for that purpose only.
If you use “Use my location” on search, your browser asks you first. We use the position once to sort results and do not store it.
Business listings
The directory lists businesses, not private people. A listing holds the business name, address, phone, website, services and what its own website says. This data comes from public sources and the business’s website. Where a sole trader’s name is the business name, it appears as such. A business that closes can be marked closed, after which the profile leaves lists and search.
Reviews
A review shows the name you give, your rating and your words, in public, for as long as the business is listed. Do not put phone numbers, addresses or other personal details in a review; we take those down. Email us to correct or remove a review you wrote.
Owner accounts
To claim a profile you create an account with an email address and a password. We store the password as a hash, never in plain text. We use your email to log you in, to send review alerts, renewal notices and receipts, and to answer your messages. We do not send marketing email.
Payments
Stripe takes the payment. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us. We keep what Stripe tells us: that a subscription exists, its status, dates and the last four digits of the card. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers what it does with your data.
Who else sees your data
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, stores its database and sends our email.
- Stripe, for payments.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Reviews stay while the business is listed. Account data stays while the account is open, and payment records for 7 years for tax. Server logs are short lived.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us from the address on your account. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we treat everyone the same way. We answer within 30 days.
Children
The site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
The date at the top shows the last change. Owners are emailed about changes that affect them.
