Who we are
The Roofing List is run by Redpath Labs (“we”, “us”). Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
What the site is
The Roofing List is a directory of roofing, siding and gutter contractors. We list a business when it passes our contact check: a confirmed phone number, a live website, and the trade named on that site. We do not vet licenses, insurance, quality or pricing. Where a profile says “licensed” or “insured”, it means the business’s own website says so. Check before you hire. Our guides explain how.
We are not a party to any job. Any contract is between you and the contractor. We are not liable for the work, the price, or anything that goes wrong on a job.
Reviews
Homeowners can review a business they used. Reviews follow our review policy. You own what you write, and you give us a free, permanent licence to show it on the site and in our feeds. We can take down a review that breaks the policy. Payment never changes which reviews show or how they rank.
Free listings
A business can appear on the site without asking us. The data comes from public sources and the business’s own website. A free listing shows the web address as plain text, never a link. A business that still trades cannot ask for its listing to be removed. A business that has closed can be marked closed. See “Report closed” in the footer.
Claimed Profile
A Claimed Profile is a paid, yearly subscription. The price shows on the claim page before you pay. Paying is the claim: the person who pays controls the profile. There is no other ownership check, so only claim a business you own or are authorised to represent. If someone claims a business that is yours, write to us and we will sort it out.
- What you get. A link to your website, control of your profile data, photos and hours, and review tools. The full list is on the claim page.
- Renewal. The subscription renews once a year on the date you first paid, at the price then in force. We email you before each renewal. Cancel at any time from your account. A cancelled profile stays claimed until the end of the year you paid for, then goes back to a free listing.
- Refunds. See the refund policy.
- Your edits. Keep your profile true. Do not claim a licence, insurance or service you do not have. We can correct or remove false claims and, for repeated abuse, end a Claimed Profile without a refund.
- Payments. Stripe handles card payments. We never see your card number.
Your account
Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your login. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
What you must not do
- Post false reviews, or reviews you were paid for.
- Claim a business you do not own or represent.
- Scrape the site in bulk, or overload it. Our MCP server is the supported way to read the data.
- Break the law, or help others to.
Our data
The directory data, site design and text are ours or our licensors’. You can link to any page. Short quotes with a link back are fine. Copying the directory is not.
No warranty, limited liability
The site is provided as is. Listings can be wrong or out of date. We do not promise that the site is always available or error free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the site is limited to what you paid us in the past 12 months. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost business.
Changes
We can change these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. A change that affects paying owners is emailed to them before it takes effect. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA. If we have a dispute, write to us first and we will try to fix it within 30 days. After that, either of us can go to the courts of California.
