Why this list exists
Most contractor directories are full of dead numbers and closed firms. You call three roofers and reach a voicemail, a wrong number and a company that shut two years ago. We built The Roofing List to fix that one problem. Every firm here passed a contact check before it was listed.
How a contractor gets on the list
We list a firm only when its phone number works and its website is live. A firm that fails a check comes off the list until it passes. We do not list firms with no website, because we cannot check them. We check contact details. We do not vet the work, so read the reviews and check the licence before you hire.
Each profile shows what the firm says about itself, in its own words, with the services and service area taken from its website. We do not invent facts and we do not pad profiles with filler.
What payment buys, and what it does not
A business owner can claim a profile for a yearly fee. A Claimed Profile gets a followed link to the firm’s website, a public reply to each review, and the right to pin one review to the top. That is all it gets.
Payment never changes where a firm ranks, which reviews show, or the rating. Free profiles and Claimed Profiles sit in the same lists, in the same order. Read the review policy for the full rules.
Reviews
Reviews come from homeowners who used the firm. We host them. We do not write them, edit them or copy them from other sites. Anyone can report a review that breaks the policy, and we read every report.
Who runs it
The Roofing List is run by Redpath Labs, a small team in the United States. Write to support@theroofinglist.com or use the contact page. A person reads every message.
