About gutter cleaning

Gutter cleaning removes leaves, needles, seeds and shingle grit from the gutters and clears the downspouts so water can run freely. Blocked gutters overflow, rot the fascia, and send water against the foundation. In cold weather they also help ice dams form. Most homes need a cleaning once or twice a year, and more often under tall trees. A careful crew sets its ladders so they do not crush the gutter, flushes each downspout with water, and tells you about any loose hangers or leaks it finds.
