About gutter guards
Gutter guards cover the gutter to keep leaves and debris out while they let rain in. The common types are screens, fine metal mesh, foam inserts, and solid covers that turn water over a curved edge. Fine mesh stops the most debris. No guard stops all of it: pine needles and seeds still collect, and most guards still need a rinse now and then.
