About flat and low-slope roofs
Flat and low-slope roofs do not shed water the way a pitched roof does, so the membrane and its seams do all the work. The common choices are TPO and PVC single-ply membranes, EPDM rubber, modified bitumen, and coatings that extend the life of a sound roof.
